One of ETIS’ main activities revolves around Benchmarking and Surveys within the working groups which is one of the best ways for our members to share knowledge, experiences and best practices among themselves. One of our longest running Benchmarking surveys is TeBIT - The Telecommunications IT Benchmarking Survey conducted annually by ETIS and The Boston Consulting Group.

It is with great pleasure that we are able to present the 2011-2012 ETIS Annual Report to our members.

We are pleased to announce that Detecon has joined ETIS as an Associate Member. For some time now, Detecon has been an active member and contributor to the Enterprise Architecture Working Group and is looking forward to further sharing its knowledge and best practices with other experts from the major European telecommunications providers. Detecon is particularly glad to have the opportunity to engage with the active ETIS Working Groups which cover a great range of different IT and business topics.

ETIS is pleased to announce that Tribold is a Silver Sponsor of the ETIS Community Gathering 2012 to be hosted in Athens on 18/19 October.

This year, ETIS members met in Athens on October 18/19 to share and exchange knowledge at the ETIS Community Gathering 2012. The theme of the Gathering was ‘The role of Telcos in the Internet of Things’. The Gathering was also held in conjunction with the 44th Management Board meeting kindly hosted by OTE. This successful event brought together close to 160 participants from 52 companies to share knowledge on key ICT issues facing the Telecom industry.

Last week the ETIS Anti-Spam Co-operation group held a meeting in Munich, Germany which was kindly hosted by eleven.

On 14-15 June, an ETIS Customer Self Service Working Group meeting was kindly hosted by Telecom Italia in Rome. The meeting was attended by 29 participants from the following companies: A1 Telekom Austria, Belgacom, Deutsche Telekom , KPN, Lattelecom, Swisscom, TDC, Telecom Italia, Telenor, TeliaSonera, T-Systems and TNO.
